From hand-written letters to text messages, drive-in movies to Netflix, sketch pads to iPads, the differences between generations are so vast they sometimes seem to be speaking different languages. Targeted toward young professionals, this session will help bridge the "age gap" in the AEC industry. Through a combination of real-life stories and interactive scenarios, this session will offer the next generation of leaders ways to turn a generationally diverse team from a liability into an asset. Attendees will gain a clear understanding that the age gap can be challenging, but more importantly, can be turned into an advantage. Preparation, communication, technology, learning, and respect will be discussed, with an emphasis on how they can be used to bridge the age gap.
